Player Awards
Every year, Heart In The Game produces moments that go beyond basketball. These awards are our way of recognizing the players who made those moments happen — the ones who competed with skill, played with purpose, and showed up with their whole heart.
Tournament MVP
Awarded to the single most outstanding player of the tournament. Dominant on both ends, a leader in every game — this player elevated everyone around them from tip-off to the final whistle.
All-HITG 1st Team
Recognizing the best performers across the entire tournament field. These are the players who stood out in every game — consistent, competitive, and impossible to ignore. Selected from all teams based on performance throughout the weekend.
Most Heart Award
This one isn't about stats. It's about spirit. Awarded to the player who best embodied what Heart In The Game is all about — the hustle, the energy, the attitude, and the heart they brought to every moment on and off the court. This is the award that means the most.
MVP TMU Student Award
Presented to the most outstanding TMU student-athlete competing in the tournament. This award celebrates the next generation of Bold — a student who competed at the highest level while representing everything TMU Athletics stands for.
